May 29, 2024 - NEW REVIEW This is the second year we had our Fed & NJ state taxes prepared by Peter Marchiano CPA Tax Office in Bayville. The first time in 2022 we had a complicated situation and were unsure of how to proceed. We made an appointment and met with Mr. Marchiano. He was able to resolve the situation, prepared our Fed & NJ state returns and we received a refund within 10 days. For 2023 we returned to Peter Marchiano and received the same expert service - the kind of service that brings confidence that things were done right, you receive the maximum allowable refund and have peace of mind that everything is in order.About 2 weeks after we received our 2023 refund we received a "Corrected 1099-R" from one of our accounts. We were concerned because we were unsure if the corrected 1099-R would affect our filing or our refund. We called Mr. Marchiano' office, explained it to his office manager, Christine, and scanned a copy of the corrected 1099-R to their office. On the same day we received a call back from Christine and were relieved to find out that the Corrected 1099-R had no effect on the return or the refund.If we had our taxes prepared by one of the lower cost walk-ins or even online (Turbo-Tax, etc) services, it would have been very difficult or impossible to reach someone who could provide confident, competent answers and peace of mind.We will stay withPeter Marchiano Tax Office from now on. For years we've been doing our own taxes. For 2022 we came upon an issue that we were uncertain about and knew we needed help from a professional. By good fortune, we found Peter Marchiano. We called, set an appointment and met with Mr. Marchiano in mid-February. We brought all our forms and tax data.
